2. Principles
This website uses no cookies, no analytics or tracking services and embeds no third-party content (no external fonts, maps, videos or scripts). We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate the website and to handle your enquiries.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website runs on a dedicated server that is rented from STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, and administered by us. The server is located in a data centre in Germany. The website and the upstream reverse proxy run in virtual machines that we operate ourselves, where the log files are also stored. STRATO provides the hardware, network connection and data centre operation.
When you access the website, our upstream reverse proxy automatically processes the following data in log files: IP address, date and time, page accessed, amount of data transferred, HTTP status code, browser type and operating system (user agent) and the previously visited page (referrer). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable operation of the website. The log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest.
4. Contact form and email
If you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, optionally company and telephone number, your message) and the time of the enquiry in order to handle your enquiry. The message from the form is transmitted to our mailbox by email; it is not stored on the web server. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (initiation or performance of a contract) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (answering other enquiries). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for handling the enquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply. To protect against abuse, we check the time of submission and limit the number of enquiries per IP address; for this purpose, the IP address is held briefly in the web server’s memory and is not stored permanently. The email sent to our mailbox contains the IP address only in truncated form.
Our email mailboxes are hosted by STRATO GmbH (see section 3 for the address); messages from the contact form are also sent via STRATO’s mail servers and stored in our mailbox at STRATO. For further processing, enquiries may be recorded in our self-hosted customer relationship management (CRM) system on the server described in section 3.
5. Disclosure of data
Data is disclosed to third parties only where this is necessary for the performance of a contract, where we are legally obliged to do so or where you have given your consent. No data is transferred to third countries.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, contact kontakt@jpp-it.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
7. Data security
The website is accessible exclusively via an encrypted HTTPS connection (TLS). Form data is sent to our mailbox over an encrypted connection.
8. Changes
We will amend this policy if the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
